Preparation, characterization, and catalytic properties of SO42-/SnO2-Hangjin2#Clay solid superacid catalyst

A new sulfate oxide solid acid catalyst SO42-/SnO2-Hangjin2# clay was compounded with Hangjin2#clay, activated by sulfuric acid, as a carrier. In the catalysis of Xanthoceras sorbifolium Bunge, using yield oil and methanol synthesis biodiesel an index, effect SO42-/SnO2–Hangjin2#clay preparation conditions on activity were investigated. The variables included in optimization process concentration Sn, impregnation concentration, calcination temperature. optimal found 0.4 M SnCl4, 3.0 H2SO4 impregnation, 350 °C examined scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffraction meter, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, surface area, thermal weight analysis. results showed that introduction Hangjin2#clay SO42--SnO2 improves its catalytic activity.
